When I start up my Wii, I am on a black and white screen and it says its preloader v 0.30 and IOS v70. Is this bootmii or boot2 or whatever? I'm really confused. Does this mean I have brick protection? It gives me an option to go to system menu, homebrew channel, or Bootmii IOS. Sorry, I'm a newb with this.

Is Preloader similar to Bootmii? Is it used to prevent bricking? Sorry I'm new to this all the different programs and terms are confusing and even when I read it, I'm not really sure what it is that I'm doing.

Then you are running a huge risk of bricking your Wii. I suggest you read the stickies first before you even go near your Wii again

Definitely! There are plenty of good guides on here for modding your Wii. Spend some time looking around and doing some reading. Time costs nothing, a new Wii will!

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

    nope

Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
