Just a thought about this online update not working thing - I don't think I've agreed to the Wii Connect 24 (or whatever it's called) terms since my rebuild. Could it be that the update function 'needs' Connect24 whilst the downloading of covers only needs a valid wifi network?

I'm away for a few days so don't have my Wii to play with to check, just thought I'd throw it out there.

Out of interest is online update working for you in the current version? Had been working for me up until the last two releases.

But covers download works for you ?

Anyway I will prepare for you a version compiled with previous devkit.

I tried the covers download and it didn't throw the error message (it 'appeared' to work). I can't say for sure that it downloaded anything as my covers were already complete at the time. When I get back to my Wii I'll blow away some covers and check they come back. As I've said - you probably have better things to spend your time on than this seeing as no one else is seeing the problem and seeing as it works under NEEK even for me. It could just be this re-formating that I did.

There is no problem on my side to let you try a new build with old devkit... it is just a 5 minutes work. ;)

postLoader 3.69.6

* changed a bit network init code
* added more debug output for wbfscanner (reached the limit :P)
* wbfscanner, increased buffers for pathnames

on google code there is also a version compiled with devkit r24.

so I have found that postloader loads just fine for me now, when it starts though it only reads the sd card. I have to start USBLoaderGX, which initializes USB for me, then I can go back to postloader which then can read the HDD.

call me stupid!! this is what happens when you stop smoking. :D so i'm trying to get my vc/wii ware games from my dump to my nands,(sorting nin- sega) to their own nands. showmii wads doesn't work, for some strange reason (regular an the mod version. using drag an drop, install to nand.). i have read that pl3 will read them just like a game from the hd. but for the life of me can't remember how the fk to do it.(my be smoke one an i can..lol).. but show mii wads will see them an every thing. so do i un wad them? then put them in a folder or what. been trying for three hours to get them on.. even using my wad manager they will not work. but i can load them on my real nand an play them.(just tested bubble bobble) yeah it's only like 6 but still.

No, don't worry, there is no need to restart smoking :P

postloader doesn't accept wads. Maybe you are referring to the capability of postloader to copy a title from any emulated nand to neek2o nand /Nands/pln2o and run it using neek2o ;)

it's cool, got them on my neek2o nand, used regular showmii wads, not the mod. an they work fine. thanks stfour.

Stfour - back at home and online update is working fine. Not sure if you've fixed something, I've fixed something, my wife fixed something (ok - it's probably not this one). Anyway, pl is all OK for me now so you can prob get rid of the devkit 24 version you compiled (assuming it was for me to test). Thanks for your help.

3.69.5 upgraded to 3.69.6 successfully. Then on subsequent update 3.69.6 successfully got the .6 changelog to upgrade to itself instead of throwing the network error exception I was previously getting. As I say, not sure if it was just 'one of those things' or not but it all seems OK now.

Hey stfour, just a quick heads-up that launching a title under your cIOS NAND emu is crashing with davebaol's d2x v9 beta. Of course, this cIOS is still in beta so it could be his side of things but thought I'd let you know in case pl is doing something non-standard that may be deprecated under v9 or something. postloader log doesn't show anything as it seems to crash before you even get to write anything to the log file (of course it shows some stuff, but ends just after some cover cache info).
