So GartimusPrime, the actual status is that the hdd is

1) no more hang
2) hdd recognized but usb apps doesn't appears
3) unable to scan for wii games

Have you tried to rescan wii games after you doing "rescan device" ?

How much time it took to start the hdd ?

Postloader now starts instantly, so no hang
Usb apps DO appear every time now
and no matter what I do i can't scan for games

so as far as I can tell it works perfectly aside from wii games not showing up

pl checks if four digit xxxx.png in /ploader/covers exists before downloading the cover.

http://code.google.c...=svn78&r=78#192

I've just checked agin and on my wii never downloads a cover that already exist.

-------------------

postLoader 3.69.4

* codes are working again
* changed a bit emunand channels configuration menu
* corrected a bug when reading sectors on 4K devices
* priibooter_gui 2.4: should now support disk with 4K secotors

Just a comment on the download cover thing. It used to re-download all covers, even those that existed for channels (though never for wbfs games) but that was fixed in a release a month or two ago. Channels with covers already in place seem to be skipped for me in the latest releases.

can you send me a log with a rescan inside ?
would love too, but can't remember how....

also, i was mistaken.....when I start postloader through priiloader it only shows SD. Sometimes when I do a rescan it will pick up the hdd sometimes it won't. If I choose just USB it says it is an invalid device.....most of the time i have to start USBLoaderGX in order to initialize the HDD, that doesn't always work either....but it is much better than before. I appologize for the last post because when I first installed it worked great but when I got home from work it wouldn't work all the time.

Now I've just obliterated my Wii and re-modded it so I'm not saying that this is a problem with postloader but the online update from 3.69.3 to 3.69.4 didn't work for me.

More than likely to be something other than pl, but then again WiiMC updated itself ok.

Hello There,

I haven't had any real issues with PL that is until some asked about running VC wads, so I thought I'd try a few and I ran into some unfortunate results. Forgive me ahead of time if talk about something I shouldn't, :). Anyways, I'm running the latest version of PL, I have all my WiiWare / VC stored on an emunand which is located on the root of the fat32 partition of my external HDD, I have priiloader set to autoboot PL and I have all the latest cioses.

Now my issue is that some games work, like Mario Kart 64 for example and others freeze at the "this game requires a classic controller screen" like Mario Golf 64 for example. Then one game, Mario Tennis, gave me a weird error message and refused to load:

Code:
CONF: 249, 0, -1, 0, 0, 0, 0
NAND: 2,
Starting nand emu...
ISFS_Initialize: 0
Running search_and_read_dol
Reading TMD...done
Searching for main DOL...
Found DOL --> 00000001.app
Loading DOL: /title/00010001/4e415445/content/00000001.app
Decompressing...ERR: (search_and_read_dol) Decompression failed
ERR: (bootTitle) .dol loading failed
Things are gone wrong, disabling emulator...
Trying to write error log to sd...

Now if it makes a difference I don't have a classic controller and rather prefer to use a gamecube controller to play these n64 games (which with Mario kart 64, for example, this works fine). Also I should point out that my Wii remote likes to act weird. It won't turn on my console, BUT after it's turned on I can activate the controller to operate PL and other stuff, but then when I load a VC game the Wii remote loses it's sync and thus won't turn on so that means in order to switch to a different title then I have to get up and manually reset the console.

I have no idea what my problem is, I don't know if it's a fault of PL or a fault of something else but I can't think of any better place to ask this then right here, for the moment. This is the only major issue I am having at the moment that I would really love it if I could get it resolved.

I should note that I've always had issues trying to get WiiWare / VC titles to run, but with the help of PL I've come closer to being able to do this without any hassles than ever before.

Here is a syscheck in case you need it: http://www.mediafire.com/?wa88wi7i9neaeh8

About initialization throught priiloader I feel it is the timeout that should be increased. I will add a longer timeout

@[member='zfa']: so you are saying that online update doesn't work ?

@[member='DaFees'], afaik there are some n64 vc that doesn't works with nand emulation. Running them via neek2o is a good chance. About mario golf I have not idea of why can't be decompressed. Maybe a bad dump ?

Hi stfour,

postloader 3.69.3 -> 3.69.4 didn't work for online update. I had made other changes to my wii at this time but a WiiMC update still worked. Obviously I can't see if 3.69.4 update works until a newer release is online for it to move to. I will try it when you put out a new version and let you know.

If you want to try, you can force update from 3.69.4 to 3.69.4... postloader will always download and reinstall the last available update, even if version is the same ;)

Hi stfour,

So I get a popup 'Error getting update information (0)' if I try an update. As I say, not sure if it's just caused by my messing around but other things (WiiMC) seem to work ok. For info, postloader is being launched directly from the Homebrew Channel (used to use your forwarder but not installed in my new setup yet), could it be this? Unlikely I'd think.

Hi stfour,

There's an icon there, it's not flashing or anything but it's present yes.

EDIT: Online update is working under NEEK but not real NAND. I suspect it's something to do with my trashing my old system and re-installing all of my mods. Thanks for your time but I think this may be one for me, not you (unless others are experiencing the same issue of course).

Hi stfour I've been getting this error lately as well I believe latest rev I have is 3.69.3 but I have to make sure as I've been swapping versions recently. I've had problems with my ISP lately and they're sending me a new modem and router tomorrow, so I was waiting 2 c if that's my real prob. Damn intermittent connection bullshit.

@[member='stfour'],
just wanted to point out that the latest version 3.69.4 has an outdated\incorrect meta.xml included with it (it says 3.69.3 instead of 3.69.4). This is leading ModMii to believe that postloader isn't being updated properly. If you could reupload it with a fixed meta.xml I'd greatly appreciate it! Thx dude!
