3 hours of my damn time wasted today because this damn debugger wont work but it works for everyone else. I have almost every day tried to get it to work but nothing. Im so freaking angry I'm seeing red. i cant find a damn value TCP Gecko. i set the memory range to 10000000 to 40000000, i changed all decimals to hex and then searched for the value. After a refined search either get a random disconnection error or it gives me some bull crap and said it didn't find any changes in the values. I even did a search for 10000000 to 50000000, which i do believe is the entire memory range for 10, and i did a refined searched and the TCP gecko it said it couldn't find any changes . Its a waste of my damn time. Not to mention that there is only one video tutorial on this. How the hell are you guys doing this so effortlessly. What am i doing wrong. PLZ because i didn't wait six months to find out that what i thought was to be my favorite homebrew app turned out to be some bullshit. i tried to hack super mario 3d world, wind waker, super smash bros, need for speed, and captain toad; not a damn one i could modify even if it was something as simple as lives. PLZ ASAP help me out. And i dont want premade codes either, i want to do it myself.

First of all, the tool isn't perfect. There are still some things that we're unable to do with it yet, like memory regions that are inaccessible at the moment (such as the 0E region). Second, pointers. Pointers are something that's commonly used in video games. They change the location of addresses to make room for values, due to certain circumstances. This can happen when booting the game, or even when loading different areas or stages (like in Super Mario Galaxy, the "Life" value is in different locations/addresses when in different galaxies/levels). For example, in one of your cases:

I tried to hack the rupees and when i tried i still get nothing. I set the memory range to 10000000 to 40000000, my data type was 32 bit and i searched for 48 in hex. then after it was done i got 1 rupee and searched 49 in hex and it said it didn't find anything. Why is this happening. during my searches i do go to different rooms but never changing the rupee amount until the search is done. Is this the reason im unsuccessful if not plz tell me.

I'm not positive, but since you've changed rooms; the pointer might have changed the location of the "rupee" value. In this case, look for your value in a static environment. Do your searches in a single room. If you find the value, don't celebrate just yet. You found it, but it's the "number of rupees in that room", you're going to need to find the pointer value to get it to work. Dump the data, & remember the address that you found (it doesn't have to be a dump of the entire memory region, but make it an acceptable size, perhaps 0x5000000 big). Now go to a different room. Look for the value again, find the address, & dump. Two dumps is an acceptable number, but if you need more for the next step, go ahead. Now use this tool: Pointer Searcher. Using the dumps & addresses you got, you can search for pointers that can potentially be the one you're looking for. Using JGeckoU, follow the pointer and hope that it's the one.
If at the end of all this, you were unable to find it. Then remember that this tool isn't perfect, there's a chance that the address is out of our reach, & we can't change it...for now, at least.

TL;DR Don't lose your mind, try searching for pointers, & remember this method isn't perfect. Have fun!

I assume you're searching for decimal values but you have to convert them to hexadecimal. You should be able to find most things quite effortlessly though.

It is for 1.9, but I build and tested it from the eshop version. It should be the same thing though afaik.
