Describe exactly what you did to get to the error? Gecko.NET doesn't work anyway with this setup though but JGecko U should.

er...for both sysnand(5.5.1) or rednand(5.5.2)?

either way, i go to the homebrew launcher(channel on sysnand, haxchi on rednand)
goto the tcp gecko installer, and pick an option( i have tried both, but as of right now it doesn't matter)
start to the game, and wait until im loaded into the game
fire up the jar file, ip is are in, connect.......and error message.

Surprisingly, there's still a lot of people who use the old codehandler. People always message me and ask me to port their codes. So that's why I made this program to port Cafe codes from the old codehandler to the new one:

I will try to replicate this and if I can't then there won't be a fix for now.

Technically good for everyone who wants to "port" his codes and doesn't know how to but also bad since it enables people to continue being clueless about the current state of the codehandler and similar tools when they should just "upgrade". I blame some of the YouTube videos giving this terrible advice or tutorial for codes still even if they are relatively newly uploaded. You can't even use a newer JGecko U with an old codehandler now because the newest codehandler is always built into the TCP Gecko Installer and I started adding version checks for compatibility so I don't get idiots using (possibly antiquated) stuff arbitrarily in combination and act like there are "major bugs" when they are just not following any decent tutorials. :P

I've tried teaching people things and a lot of them seem to not care to put the effort into it

ok, update time...
strange as it seem, jgecko does not like my windows 10 Operating System. it appears to running just fine on a linux installation...i waiting to see if it will cut out again at 98% like the last successful run was.

I develop on Windows 10 so if at all, this should be the best working OS but of course it's kept as platform independent as possible. :)

Also it seems like you can connect now just fine? I'm not sure what exactly the NullPointerException problem was then, did you figure this out?

Hi guys. I have a few questions about Wii U cheats... Anyway, I heard there is a new codehandler? What is it and is there a link to it? I have been using J Gecko U for cheats. Also, are there any working cheats for Paper Mario Color Splash? I have used an editor for that game in the past, later tried some codes/cheats someone gave me, but game keeps freezing. Thoughts and help on all this greatly appreciated :)

....sorta, yes i can connect, however, its dual-core(linux tower) vs quad-core(Windows my laptop). so the time it take for search to work and the fact i can only work within a 10000000 range at most are the two concerns i working on and trying to adapt with. the game i working with at the time of this writing is darksiders 2. oh, before i forget, for reason unknown to me, the tcp gecko installer is crashing an e-shop game named "Revenant Sage". the old codehandler doesnt crash it for some reason.

"New" isn't really the right word, as it's been out for well over a year now. The old codehandler is the first one to be released.

Ok. Thanks for the info! How can I get/use new codehandler? Also, do you know if there are any working cheats for Paper Mario Color Splash US version?

Edit: With the new codehandler, where can I get codes/cheats? Am looking for the following games:

- Zelda Twilight Princess
(Max Hearts/Health, Max Rupees)

- Zelda Wind Waker
(Max Hearts/Health, Max Rupees)

- Paper Mario Color Splash

Help GREATLY appreciated :)

Use Bully's JGecko U Setup guide: https://gbatemp.net/threads/jgecko-u-setup-guide.426292/

The "new" one is the one I was working on, lol. It's unreleased kinda besides the fact that the source is available but only tested on PC right now so it's a bit unclear how easy it is to include it in the TCP Gecko Installer for Wii U. It shouldn't be too hard regardless: https://github.com/BullyWiiPlaza/wiiu_code_handler
