At least one of you was probably curious about how I got here in the first place.

A friend of mine is particularly hasty about reporting things that he thinks I'll be disgruntled about, so when he came here and saw this thread, he complained to me about it. And of course, he exaggerated the issue, having not taken the time to analyze exactly what was going on.

I'm sure he knew full well that me, being on my last nerve about all this (Rune really did throw a good chunk of salt in the wound), would storm in here and raise more hell than necessary. I told him off for that, and he got all defensive and indignant at me. It was putrid conversation at best.

Here's to killing off the memories of the past couple of pages. Yes, I can be friendly. I usually am. Will you allow it?

Edit: Someone was really laying it on thick about the legality issues of being a hacker.

Not only is this ironic because of all the hacking related material at this site, but it's doubly ironic because of the fact that I should feel right at home in a place so focused on hacking and modding. My original arrival here should have had to do with jumping into all of that jazz with a big goofy smile on my face, not this.

Zeld -- The persona you've shared with us over your past ten posts (your count is ten as I write this) reminds me so much of a co-worker... I had a vision of Jon in my head as I read your words. I hope you don't mind.

Thanks for allowing this to settle down. Thanks for your work and contribution to the community and I repect what you claim as yours.

Personally I prefer to get my cheats the old fashioned way.., by reading walkthroughs! I got disillusioned by the abuse of the old DOOM and Quake console cheats and prefer to play without them. But that may change as I decide that I really want to see the end of this damned game!

I'm glad at how things turned out and especially about the discussions in the thread because it shows that there are critical thinkers here who use logic and reason, and that they truly try to explain their side of the argument.

Run two instances of the editor.
Copy-and-paste between the two to even up.

If there's a simpler way, I don't know about it or use it.


I believe Zeld and I have come to an understanding. I was never opposed to anything he said, just HOW he went about saying it. It's all good now.

And let's just say that certain privileged information (you guys know who you are) should stay a secret to the general community. What they don't know might actually be beneficial to more than just GBAtemp members.

The dat is a constant work-in-progress. Remember that.

my zelda only usrcheat.dat tested on my r4 works well. codes from codejunkies and Hiei-YYH

did you try the zelda codes?, I enabled the max rupees and infinite rupees and nothing happens..

I tried "Infinite Rupees" and it worked for me. 9999...

Don't enable both the MAX and Infinite at the same time. Doing that could cause the cheats to fail, or even make the game crash. Choose one or the other.

Be real sparing with what cheats you select for any given run-through of the game, some cancel out others and some cancel out both.....sometimes both will yield the same result and still work. It's a crap shoot as to whether any particular combination of cheats is going to effect one another or not. It's all pretty much trial-and-error. Use only the ones that work for you.


I've found that cheats in the Eragon game don't work at all. Even the backlight codes fail to activate. I don't know what's up with that.

I really do have drama issues sometimes.

That aside, I have an obligation to know how well my codes work, so I can try to make them work if they aren't working for specific devices.

Assuming anyone has used the aim bot on their R4, did it work? If it didn't, I'll probably have to read some documentation on how the R4 processes cheats in order to alleviate the issue.

If I ever make another aim bot, I'll find some way to disable it from working during online play (perhaps only for random games, wouldn't that be nice?), and if I succeed, then I won't have any problem with having it added to the .dat.

Aim Bot 4.0 sounds pretty cool (I am starting to wonder why I make so many versions of the same code and haven't found other codes to make for so long, though).

I've "*FWOOSHED*" all my hostile posts. They aren't necessary any more, so if anyone goes through this thread, reading it for the memories, the painful ones will be excluded.

There's a stickied thread about asking if GBA ROMs work on the R4. The main point of that thread was to answer that one question, and it has already been answered. Yet, that thread continued to stay sticked, and grew to ten pages, while this much larger an more worthy thread remains unstickied.

Anyone else agree how odd that is?

^right, like he said...here are the codes, but ppl aren't sure if they work or not, so here they are.

These codes were ported from EU version to USA version by toenailed from Kodewerx.

I also tried using the moonjump code but that didn't work for some reason. None did when i entered them, and I double checked them for accuracy. Maybe I'm just stupid.

Nevermind. I realized I was entering the UK codes for my American game >.< These should work, hopefully as this is what I've been looking for.

Anyway, does this SnowShooter code also work for the starshooter and the acorn blaster? And does it also conflict with the Infinite Life and Invincible codes?

For the infinte rupees, you have to enter the shop. Does the ship parts work anyways? Anythime i cutomise my ship, it freezes. (not the game, but the camera, like you are talking to someone and then there is no text, i cant save, cant walk, or do anything.

Altered the time stop code in Rune Factory A Fantasy Harvest Moon (U) to a new one Hiei-YYH came up with that is smaller.


As for the stuff I got in a couple PM's....I will look into it. I'm heading out to a friend's house real soon, so I can't do it now.
