Ooof. Didn’t realize that was a possibility lol. Yeah, that might work. But might take a while to decode & mod if your going to use Nintendo’s already implemented recording system. But if we create our own it might actually become a thing, in the near future.
Ya that's what I meant .My bad! I edited the OP so people don't get confused .My apologies

I think that a screen recorder based on Switch software would run pretty laggy/sluggish (kinda like how it was on the 3DS)

I think tapping into the existing video recording feature is probably the easiest way to go. Modify what's there, remove the 30 second limit, remove game restrictions, and change the button behavior to be a start-stop button.

And of course I'd use the daylights out of it. You could post gameplay videos on YouTube without needing to use a capture card (as long as you weren't live streaming). Take any camera, make a video of you while you're playing it, throw it along with the Switch's recording in your favorite video editing software and you're good to go.

Let's play nice guys/girls :P . Creating it would be good. But if we want it made 100% because we are to dumb to do it ( myself ) Just make a bounty! Cash incentives work
There's a good idea. Also you can't tell me what to do, I'm going to my room. You aren't my real parent. Ahhhhh

Would it even be possible to use the built in recorder? I mean, i can see it working with the little amount of ram and unclocked cpu/gpu, but considering that i don't think anything above 5 minutes would even be possible, or 10 without destroying the switch perfomance.

That's what I'm saying - . Using the switch's software would force it to "remember" more than 30 seconds. That's why I'm saying "NO"! Haha .Just a real-time on and off recording application. I know it's not easy though

Kind of like how memory allocation is?

But a real time recorder would still use a lot of cpu/gpu power, thus leaving to perfomance issues. The thing is, this could indeed be possible, but i cant see it recording more than say, 5 minutes at 360p.

The other option, which it think could work the best, is a screen streaming app or plugin, just like ntr recorder was for the new 3ds.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol

I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
