I have a PSP and a Wii, and the PSP has an app called USBhostFS allowing you to run games off the PC, similar to a USB loader.
Now this got me thinking, because USBhostFS ahs a computer-side host, would it be possible to port the host to Wii, so that you use the Wii instead of the PC?
This would be beneficial as it means that you won't have to power up your PC to play PSP and that the Wii is more portable.
...This is all theoretical of course.

If we did, then it would differ in one way. Instead of the games being streamed from the hard drive, like the computer, it would be from an SD or USB to the PSP's USB. NetHostFS might work better for the Wii, as an Ad-Hoc connection could be made, it might have enough bandwidth, and no wires.

Wouldn't it be easier to implement SMB support for ISO loading, and run ISOs via the network?
Surely a solid wifi connection should be enough.
I can't see a use for USB - USB though.

*edit*

misunderstood you, disregard original

I dont see any reason why not
But I think it would neet support in cios since usb1 is a bit on the slow side.

Might be easier to do this with a NAS instead.

Yeah, but WODE doesn't use the Wiis crappy W-Lan Card & Drivers, as far as I know...it uses a Linux-Kernel and an USB-Dongle. Or am I wrong?
