I rest my case, your honor.

at worked everytime with my one...

Not in my experience. I had exFAT corrupt seven times before I gave up and switched to FAT32. Four times it was recoverable with chkdisk. One time, chkdisk failed to save it but fsck.exfat did. Two times chkdisk moved corrupted data to LOST.DIR but left the filesystem busted.

First, learn to type full sentences.

Second, you are apparently lucky. Expect it to bite you eventually so long as you use exFAT. Statistics is not in your favor based on how the issue has been confirmed to exist and 18% of people have encountered it since the switch was hacked (somewhere a little over a year. The 3DS and DS had a lifespan of more than seven years.)

yea 100 people had issues and 300 (is more than 100) didnt had issus... so i mean somewhere exFAT is not as bad as you think ;)

I had exFat and 2-3 times I had card corruption (PSNES, etc)
Now I have Fat32 and I vote for FAT32 - no issues yet
Mabybe an answer should be added to the poll: 'I had exFat with issues and now I am on Fat32'

well why we dont add a I had issues with FAT32 and using exFAT now... that doesnt make sense... when 300 people still on exFAT and 100 had issues and are still on exFAT is guess it cant be so problematic

thats not even a 1/3

A 25% failure rate for ANYTHING is unacceptable, especially when you're talking about data. Would you accept your computer or phone having a 25% chance to nuke your system? Probably not.

As has been stated numerous times, use exFAT with homebrew at your own risk. FAT32 is a mature and very stable file system and should be your default if using homebrew.

I am using original SanDisk 400Gb SD formatted to exFAT over the seven months and there are zero problems. I am also using psnes, pfba, checkpoint, Choixdujournx, Edizon, NSP, XCI games - I have 300GB of them installed. Also using hekate. I removed and returned my SD card a million times and had no problems so far. I formatted it with PC. Right now I am on the latest 8.01 and Atmosphere 0.8.9.

so should i use SD card formatted fat32 right? this is jsut for the SD card, not for the HD...Right ? i use SXOS btw
SD card always FAT32.
HDD (for SX OS XCIs) always exFAT.
FAT32 for homebrew, exFAT for switch games.
No, FAT32 for both, unless you don't use any CFW/hacks at all on your Switch, then it doesn't matter what you use.

And if there are countless reports of people having no issues with exFAT after any amount of time, it doesn't change the fact that your SD could die just any-f*cking-time.
Just don't cry then please as you have been warned. ;)

it really isn't its just that ppl treat it like it some sort of SD card cancer. Regardless what we use its common sense to backup your data. Most of this issues within the Switch scene are just end user mistakes.

I will not cry because I have backup all the stuff on my external drive. If I get corrupted data I will restore it and format to FAT32. Because I didn`t have any issues so far, I will continue to use exFAT.
