Fuck now I want to go to Dairy Queen.
7-Step Plan To Ruin Guild's Life
  1. Get him to stop trolling.
  2. Get him to admit he plays pokemon in public.
  3. Make him to go to Dairy Queen.
  4. Prepare the clowns.
  5. Pay his workmates to pretend clowns don't exist.
  6. Change my identity.
  7. Laugh like a madman.

Actually watching the first episodes going through all the first gyms up to the league is pretty awesome, it gave us a great picture of the game world, it had funny dialog, creative characters, great music an interesting story where 90% of the episodes made sense in the storyline which at the time was original, I really do recommend watching those to any fan of the games.
It is true that the old episodes were much better, my little brother used to uninterestedly watch the new series on TV from time to time but now when he when he discovered the old episodes he has a blast watching them.

What would get me interested in a new animated Pokémon series again would be, a new protagonist and a completely new story line, in my opinion they should take the B/W 2 trailers and start from there.

To be fair there's not a Dairy Queen within miles of where I am. Ironically there is a local ice cream joint called Cream King though. I'm sure they're part of the dairy dessert monarchy.

A place near where I used to live was a standalone trailer called The Ice Cream Factory. When I was kid I'd always get the "pup cup", a relatively-small simple cup of ice cream.

That had an actual dog treat in it. And of course, nobody told me it was a dog treat for a joke on the product name and not meant to be eaten... because if I knew about it the first time, it wouldn't have been funny.

To be fair the other ice cream joint in town is called Uncle Ed's Creamery.

Really wish they made their ice cream shops named something that doesn't sound pornographic.
Icy Teat Treats
Creamy Squirts
Frosted Milk Desires
Paddle-Whipped Confections

I wish I could go on, but I'm bad with words.

I wish Ash actually grew up over time and the series would stop being so kiddish.

I wish there was 18+ rated pokemon game and anime series.

I can't watch a single episode of pokemon anymore.

The main-series manga entries are how the series was originally supposed to be (darker, pokemon actually die for-realzies, evil teams actually destroy cities and junk with pokemon), might want to give it a read. Pokemon Special, IIRC.

This would have been great back when I watched Pokemon about thirteen years ago.
For the Nokia?

Woah, is the manga still like that to this date? I have honestly never bothered with the manga.

Yeap. Maybe not so much the BW arc but up til HGSS I am pretty sure it still is. I actually liked the manga better.

Anyway, saw this today and tried to get it on my Android phone. But of course, it just had to be incompatible. I mean, no JellyBean? I can live with that. But when there are quite a number of apps which aren't compatible, it gets a wee bit annoying. *sigh* Damn you HTC.

While more gritty, it's still an action adventure series catered towards children. That doesn't mean it's not enjoyable though, since it has a better sense of, for lack of a better word, "realism".
