ROM Hack Pokemon Sun, no outlines patch not working

Strange. Could you reboot into Luma3DS config screen and tell us what the version number is? You press and hold select button while you turn on your 2DS.

Could you tell us what exactly you have done to make it work?
Because i had it working nicely all the time, but then pokemon update v1.2 seemingly broke it, so the game wouldnt start and crash, until i disabled game patching in luma.

Is there a new no outlines ips patch for v1.2 available?

They found the solution before the 1.2 patch came out. Look for the Batch tool IPS patches for Sun/Moon thread in this section if you want no outlines.

Yup thats my problem now again...

I believe that the 1.2 update for Sun and Moon is the cause of the outlines patch not working. I downloaded the update and now I'm having the same problem as you. Just disable game patching.

EDIT: Ignore this

new update means the code.bin is updated, you'll need to dump the new code.bin and re-apply the patches for 1.2

or just use the .ips directly, get the nooutlines .ips and name it code.ips in /luma/titles/[titleID]/code.ips :)

Where do i get the nooutlinrs .ips file? Also idk if thats not allowed if its copyrighted stuff

SciresM just released an updated SMPatcher so you should get that and run it to get the outline patch and you shouldn't have any problems. Testing right now.

https://github.com/SciresM/SMPatcher/releases/tag/1.2 This will extract the code.bin and it will also install and patch the code with .ips patches

Edit: I don't think you need the .exe you should be able to just replace the new .ips patches in luma/titles/titleid/
