If somebody is your friend and they play pokemon go, will they automatically visit your plaza? That's the only way I know how to make a link trade.

Here, I know how to set this up. Go to GTS and I have an Empoleon up for trade. Set that Haunter up for trade and say you want Empoleon. Than I will trade back your gengar and you trade back that empoleon.

It won't work? OT, Trainer ID and Secret ID will be the exact same as before so the game won't consider it a "traded" pokemon when he gets it back and thus won't get 50% bonus xp
