ROM Hack pokemon platinum german

Hay,
I am translating pokemon platinum to german.
This will be no 100% translation, but will be playable for german's.
I have insert the feature to connect with german gba games(for pal park users).

(i'm busy fixing the problems)

Is this the first time you are working with DS translations??
well first of all, I think all the text files of platinum is compressed, so it will be a challenge for you to decompress the text and compressing it again,... The main tool you will use is a hex editor, doesn't matter which one, but I think hex workshop? or windhex works the best.
Then grab yourself probably NLZ77 if the texts are compressed with LZ77
then basically, decompress, translate, compress, and that's it.

Well, it's better than nothing. Besides, he has other things to do than work on translating a game by himself. You shouldn't be complaining about things that people do for the benefit of others.

You never know. I'm a one-man team, and I had a workable patch out the day after the game was released.

Ich hab' "ds22" grad' eben angeschrieben und ihm meine Hilfe bezüglich dem Inhaltlichen angeboten. Im GBAtemp Forum scheint es relativ viele User zu haben, die der deutschen Sprache mächtig sind und sich an Translations/Romhackings intressieren. Vielleicht hat ds22 Intresse an einem kleinen Team?!

put some of the text on an open spreadsheet. then more people can help out. google spreadsheets seems to be the most popular one now. just check in from time to time to make sure no one vandalizes anything.

Because I know how you're doing your translation, I wanted to note that anything that is left blank, such as the name for the Battle Recorder, will cause the game to reset when in Wifi. (Local or WFC).

I'm trying to figure out how to change that, because it really sucks when that happens

but luckily, that didn't happen.

however there are some attacks which show up as ????????????????
and it's not fully translated
