Pokémon Movie 12 To Air In Australia First!

I watch the Pokemon movies for 2 reasons:

To see the legendary Pokemon in action

And to see the fabulous background designs.


Also, the 13th movie (Japan 2010) is going to start Ho-oh and Lugia. The location is going to be fashioned based on Holland and Belgium. (The film people have already started going there to gather references and material)

All the more I'm going to see every Pokemon movie that comes out, because they actually put effort into making them. (Unlike the horrible Anime.)

Nope, those were probably just tourists. Holland has always been flooded by Japanese tourists.

Worst trainer ever, in the darkrai movie, Darkrai got rather a beating and i'd say he would be rather easy to catch after he got hit by a roar of time and a spacial rend, and he was RIGHT there in front of Ash, Could it EVER occur to him to throw a pokeball at him? Oh wait! Lets be crazy and try an ULTRA BALL which never seems to exist, noob.

Watched The First Movie for the first time the other night - never seen a Pokemon movie before (I am over 30, so should have by now!). Only thing that sticks in my head (apart from a well made badguy) is the pitiful "Pika - Chuuuuuu!! Pikaaa - chuuuuuuuu!!! Chuuuuu!!! CHUUU!!!!" near the end.

You all who say the movies are bad just don't get Pokémon, the real meaning, it's not about catching the rarest and strongest Pkmn and that's why the movies and the anime are still so cool and really enjoyable! Especially when you watch it in German and understand half of it...

The reason why he let go of his Butterfree, Charizard and all the other Pokémon and never tried to catch the legendaries is, that this way it's really realistic, just imagine yourself there and forget it's a game with stats and all - what's the point of having them all? That's just a phrase to make people buy everything, but Ash wants to be the best trainer and all and so far he really is a good trainer.

this is the plotline for every episode

ash and co. are on their way to a new city for a gym battle, pkm contest, ect...,
they meet a new person on their way who joins them for the ep (if its a woman, brock tries to put the moves on her)
team rocket then plots to steal the pkms and then executes that plan stealing the pkm and tries to make their getaway
pikachu attempts thunderbolt, but always the same, electric proof cage, device, ect...
the new person they met uses their pkm to defeat team rocket and blow up their device getting back everyone's pkms
pikachu then uses thunderbolt/bolt tackle/ect.. and sends team rocket blasting off
ash and co. say goodbye to their new friend and go on their way

Actually, it's not, there are episodes with different basic plots, I can remember a Pokémon Beauty Contest one right now. But that's not the point, because like everyone says Avatar is Pocahontas with changed names of places and people and higher tech, and it doesn't matter coz of the deep sense of meaning it contains, of the immersion and all. In the same way it doesn't matter that often the basic underlying plot in Pokémon - giving Team Rocket a run for their balls and saving everyone - is the same.

Because it's about another thing entirely then just following the storyline.
