Was just now playing HeartGold (official cart for those who are wondering) and I was walking into Goldenrod with my Totodile, when I decided to talk to it. It was excited and apparently found an item, but when I asked to take it, it was too important to let go of... I then check its stats, and its holding the everstone i gave it, so I go back to the game and try again, but this time he is mad. So... what might it be? I've heard of the Gold Leaf or whatever, but it doesn't show that.

edit: just took it to the pokecenter, got all my pokemon healed, and his anger seems to have vanished...

When you get to kanto does the elite four get stronger, like it did in Fire Red and Platinum? I ask this cuz I went to the bug catching contest yesterday and every pokemon was at least level 30.

Also has any1 had trouble with winning the bug catching contest? The only time I won was when I caught my Schyther. I've caught a Pinsir and Beedrill and DIDN"T PLACE AT ALL!?!?! I lost to a f***ing venonat and two weedles. WTF!?!?!?!?

Also has any1 had trouble with winning the bug catching contest? The only time I won was when I caught my Schyther. I've caught a Pinsir and Beedrill and DIDN"T PLACE AT ALL!?!?! I lost to a f***ing venonat and two weedles. WTF!?!?!?!?

level is very important too, not just how rare it is.
good chance the other contestants had lvl17/18 pokemon(pre-E4).
and i'm not sure, but there's a chance remaining HP plays a role too(since it's shown when you get to choose which one to keep when you catch 2)
