Pokemon Diamond to Pokemon White on R4 (Poke Transfer Lab)

Hey everyone, today I just bought an original copy of Pokemon Diamond and I have a completed Pokemon White save on my R4 SDHC Dual-Core (3ds compat version) and was wondering if the Poke Transfer Lab should work or if both copies of the game really need to be Original in order for the Poke Transfer Lab to work? This is because I plan to move them to pokemon bank and want to go through the process in the games instead of using PkHex and if it's necessary to buy Pokemon White I will but need guidance lol.

It should work normally but you can also use PKSM to transfer Pokémon if you have a 3DS.
