Gaming Pokemon: Boy or Girl

Since everyone seems to be making threads on pokemon i decided to join in... LOL
So heres my question!


In the Pokemon Game
Will you decide to choose...
A Boy Or Girl!?


State your gender in Real life and then the Gender you will choose ingame!
Also an explanation if you would like to!

On my first play through, Im also a guy and im a guy RL
If i go a second time through, ill be the girl.

Thats just how i have always worked...

well.... ever since crystal... i was a girl. since crystal made me a girl!! but in real life in a dude, i like being the girl so i make my friends laugh when seeing my person and i just like naming my rival "Ray" and my women "Crystal"

Girl I'd suppose. I'm a guy.
Reason: Played G/S/C as a guy and finished my copy of silver and crystal about 4 times. I got a few save corruptions on my silver and got crystal since the battery died and now both died

So I'm pretty sure I'm tired of seeing his sprite even if its been a long while by now.

A guy... I've always chosen the male character in each of the games where they gave you the choice. To be honest, most of the main character females of the Pokemon franchise have been pretty odd-looking. Leaf, from FireRed and LeafGreen came the closest to really being the female equivalent of the male hero. Dawn also is pretty decent. The chick from Hg/Ss looks like she'd be more at home working on Route 39's MooMoo Farm, with those overalls.

I'm a guy here in reality (or at least what I assume is reality, you never can tell...) but I will in all probability be playing as a girl for the following reasons:

1) I got sick of using the dude sprite ages ago.
2) It's a novelty.
3) The look on my friend's face.

5) I often play as female characters instead of male ones. Blaze Fielding in Streets of Rage, Amy Rose in the new Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing, Tyris Flare in Golden Axe, etc etc. Dunno why, I just find the female characters more interesting. In my experience they tend to be given better back stories, etc.

I always choose the the girl version in my main game, and the boy in the other version. So girl for Soul Silver and boy for Heart Gold.
