Misc Pokemon B/W Wifi?

Hi,
I've been playing pokemon white with the experience patch and everything has worked fine so far. However when i go to use wifi it cuts out. Is this an anti-piracy measure? Is there a patch for it? Im sure there are threads out there with my answer but i've tried Googling it intensively and looking aroung a couple of site but none of them seem to show what i want, even just a link to a good thread would be greatly appreciated

Im using a ds lite with a m3 running sakura, im not sure whether my wifi is WEP or WEP2

Are you using a DSi or DSlite?

If it's a lite, it only supports WEP or no security. It won't be able to connect with anything else due to unsupported security. Make sure your connection is completely set up and can connect to wi-fi even in the DS connections menu without failing.

Beyond that, Black and White have been experiencing some minor wi-fi issues off and on coinciding with the troubles in Japan, presumably where the servers are hosted.

Wifi doesn't work with patched roms as far as I'm concerned. It does work with untouched roms, however.
