no other flashcart can live up to its compatibility.
it has been almost 1 year for the ds2 and only 9 updates from the team and those are mostly for software bugs and instability not for compatibility (only a few were)

because if I buy it I'll have to wait till next week thursday so I'll have the retail by then plus he bragged T_T no fair

I was contemplating getting a DS2, but i hadnt thought that AKAIO would be broken. good shit nintendo.
btw im on R4i Ultra, using the one time AKAIO 1.81 made by Normatt for the R4 Ultra Team

I have found this on another forum. Would this work? I do not know how to use Nitro Explorer 2B, so I cannot try it myself.

1. Download a japanese copy of either black or white
2. Download and apply rudoulph ap patch to japanese rom
3. Download whichever game has the language you want (for me english, so eur)
4. Download nitro explorer 2b
5. Open the non japanese pokemon rom
6. Navagate to a > 0 > 0 and extract files 2 and 3
7. Navagate to a > 0 > 2 and extract file 16
8. Open the japanese game and put the files from the non-jap into the jap rom
9. Put on card and enjoy ap free

This just changed the language and logo of the japanese to whatever you got the files from. Please note that this will workalmost the same as the translations of b/w made. So if one of the translated jap roms worked on your card then this will too. Enjoy!

P.S. since this shouldn't change the game id, cheats should work too.

P.S.S. I haven't tested this yet but it should work.

The whole "I haven't tried it, but it should work," thing is a bit of a turn off. You'd think they would try it beforehand. Either way, if I wanted to play a (J) ROM translated, I already would. Waiting for an AP fix isn't that difficult guys.

Oh. I was under the impression it was an anti-piracy fix, not a translation technique.

I figured I'd try this for shits and.... there isn't a file "16" at the path a>0>2. It's only goes up to file "9".

It's not that bragging isn't allowed, it's just that the way some people do it in the other B&W threads is uncalled for.

This topic is about circumventing the AP for other flashcarts, and not about how great the SCDS2 is. Everyone knows it works on the SCDS2--no need to belabor the point, much less brag about it.

It contributes nothing to the discussion, and frankly, it's getting old.

as a side note, how does rudolph's patch work exactly ? - can't we just add the game ID to it and then it should be fine / then again i believe it isn't that easy.
