Gaming Pokemon alpha sapphire gameplay not 3d?

I've recently got hold of this game (cia format) but noticed the 3d isn't in any of the gameplay parts I've played near the beginning of the game, should there be 3D in the gameplay parts? The weird thing is the intro and other parts of the game have 3d.

Some parts have 3D, mostly battles, but some maps have it too.
Blame Game Freak for their poor optimization. It was the same problem in X/Y.

Yup, some parts do have 3D and some dont, but frankly I leave it off all the time due to frame drops. The frame drops occur on the N3DS as well so its not a hardware limitation just a crappy optimization. But its a great game non the less!

It's a good one to start on. 3rd gen is where the last good Pokemon were in my opinion. The only better story is HeartGold and SoulSilver, but you'd have to deal with worse graphics and worse features.
