with how quick the scene moves, video guides tend to get outdated very quickly for them to be useful. they can include things like mistakes or incorrect information, or steps users no longer need to do (like 9.2 downgrading!). a written guide is far easier to update than a video one. there have also been cases of some video guides including files like otp.bin(console-specific) which end up bricking users. this has happened before.
no I will never recommend a video guide for custom firmware regardless if a video is easier to follow, and you shouldn't to. the risk is not worth it.
