I'm running a brand new, authentic Acekard 2i on my DS Lite, which works perfectly for regular games. Initially, I uploaded the default firmware from www.acekard.com and things were going smoothly. However, it gradually began to not detect the cartridge, taking more and more times to boot, and sometimes acting as if the cartridge had been taken out in the middle of playing a game (clean backups). This became obnoxious, so I reformatted and reinstalled the default firmware. It worked 1 time before failing to start after 50+ tries. I reformatted again with Panasonic reformatter with AKAIO 1.4.1 and its 5/4/09 loader. It has failed to start with this as well. If I do auto mode (instantly start whatever game is in the cartridge,) both screens become white and nothing happens. If I do manual, the place where you select the ds game does not say no cartridge is in, but has no text and a blank white avatar, and if chosen, results in the same two white screens. I'm completely at a loss and very frustrated, and if anyone were to help, I wouldn't mind sending a token of appreciation, $5-10, on paypal.
In the DS main menu, it doesn't say "there is no cart," but it doesn't say Acekard 2i anymore either. There's a blank spot where the "avatar" (game logo, mascot) would be and no text where "acekard 2i" or a game name would be. It doesn't say loading; When it worked it used to go to a black screen that said loading before loading up the Acekard firmware.
Nah, I didn't flash the cart or anything. I was playing clean dumps Knights in the Nightmare and Trauma Center, but since then, I've done a full format with panasonic.
The distributor's people think the cart spontaneously shit itself and was just a bum in the first place. Do you think that's what it is? They're willing to set me a fresh one and try it ahead of time to make sure it works.

There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.

But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".

Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.
