Nintendo really set up an industry precedent with its Nintendo Directs, compiling all major game announcements into a short video, and giving consumers a good look at what games are slated for the future. We saw Microsoft try out a similar format with their Inside Xbox series, where they discuss monthly Game Pass additions, new games, and more. Now, PlayStation is tossing its hat into the ring with the newly announced State of Play video series. The first stream will take place on March 25th, and will showcase upcoming titles for the PlayStation VR and PlayStation 4. You'll be able to tune in on PlayStation's official Twitch or YouTube account. As PlayStation skipped out on last year's PSX, and won't be attending this year's E3, this could be a good way for the company to continue revealing future plans for its software. Currently, there's only a few PS4 exclusives in the works, such as The Last of Us 2, Ghosts of Tsushima, Death Stranding, and Days Gone. Debatable for sure. Both consoles look great. Neither is necessarily "better" especially when your ps4 sounds like a Boeing 737 about to go down.
I personally don't see a difference between my PS4/XboneX/XboneS, except the PS4 is very, very loud compared to the Xbox.

Regardless of whether they did copy the previous attempts or not, Sony most certainly got the idea after seeing Nintendo's own success. And it was no more than a crappy cashgrab. 10/10 slapping existing software and hardware together.

Not really. There's a reason as to why few people cared about the "classic" consoles before the NES Classic Mini.


And either way, it. doesn't. matter. Sony's attempt was very poor. It was a very low-effort thing. Which is why nobody cares about the PS Classic and it is as cheap as it is.

I don't really get on Sony's case for taking the idea of retro plug-n-play console. Its more their shameless copy of the branding, calling it a "classic mini." And also making something of the same low quality as the flashbacks but charging Nintendo prices.

Also expecting the PS Switch pretty soon so you can add that to the pile. Though if its specs aren't far off I'd actually be happy, as we'd see more devs targeting that power level if they could release on two platforms.
