Homebrew Playing Old PS ROMs On The Wii

So, since I can't afford the Switch or WiiU, i'm back with more questions about Homebrew. So, this time I got an old Frogger ROM. The one for the PlayStation. Yeah... Still have it. Anyway, the plug doesn't plug in right on my TV, and the top is stuck open. So, I wanted to play it on the Wii. My questions are: 1. Can I even play it? And 2: Do I need a certain Emulator on Homebrew? Or can I just stick the ROM in Homebrew and use GC controllers?

What PS ROMs? PS doesn't use ROMs... :P

Well, NO. But I mean ROMs of PS Games. I have a valid Frogger ROM on my PC right now.

Okay, new problem. I stuck the ROM on to my SD card and everything. I loaded up Homebrew, Loaded up WiiSXR selected load ROM, clicked my Frogger ROM, and then it froze for a sec and sent me back to the Homebrew channel. I enter WiiSXR again, and no ROM is loaded. I try again, same result. I rinsed and repeated a multitude of times and the same result. No clue why this is occurring, for whatever it's worth my two inputs are the Wiimote and GC controller.

This could mean that Frogger is not working in Wiisxr. The Playstation uses CD as a Medium to hold games. ISO is just short for ISO9660, the name of the standard specification for CDs.

Yes, I just read the Wiki for compatibility, and had the same conclusion though I couldn't find the game. With your reply however, i'm positive that's the answer. I'm trying out Tekken 3 instead :P

disc rips are more commonly referred to as ISO not ROM.
Cartridge dumps are ROMs

The WiiSX beta 02 compatibility wiki lists Frogger as playable.
