Yeah, I wasted days at the arcade playing BnJ. The game had a secret trick that scored big points, too. If you could get through an entire stage without damaging a single enemy car, you would get 100,000 points bonus. BnJ looks like fun.
It was pretty challenging to do the trick once, but if you could manage it on 3 or 4 stages, you would usually go straight to the top of the high score table.
If you accidentally killed just one car near the end of the stage though, you'd only get a tiny bonus of 1000 points - and the sound of all your mates laughing at your misfortune.
But that was cool - trying to do the no damage trick added extra challenge to the game, once you'd mastered the repetitive road layouts. The only truly random factor was the enemy cars themselves.
