Gaming Planning of buying Wii, but will new version be out?

Hey guys I'm planning to get a Wii but thinking if a next gen of wii will be out soon. I don't want to get a old one when the new one is releasing soon. Thanks

No, they Nintendo havent really updated their consoles with slim etc as far as I know. And there arent any rumours, the PSP Go had lots of rumours before it was offically released.

Wow a triple post! However, all sarcasm asside, they may not be 'slim' but they can be lite or i (DS) and colour, SP, mini (GB/GBA). The Super Famicon had a slim version out in Japan if i remember correctly so who knows. With the Wii's success it's all a bag of tricks with nintendo keeping everything secret and all.

Scratch that 'sarcasm asside' statement...lol.

What is there for the wii to change? Other than built in motionplus for the controlers

The DSi isn't a new DS, rather than a sister product.

DS Phat > DS Lite> DSi
GBA > GBA SP > GBA Micro.

Anyway, it will probably be a while till the next Wii's successor comes out. Also this got me thinking, why the hell wasn't there a backlight in the DS Phat when that problem was fixed with the SP??

Lol in all honesty you should just buy a Wii.

Even if they brought out a new Wii (which they won't, and even if they do it'll be a couple of years, after the Wii is released in numerous colours)... It couldn't get much slimmer than it already is, AND it would probably be a lot harder to hack. And more expensive.

Just get a Wii
