This game is good, nice and clean graphics and lasting appeal.

I've been at it for over a month now,

Finished: Normal Mode
Getting stuck on free mode [most puzzled can be logically solved]

anyone else suprised about this game?

i hope there's a Picross 2

All the puzzles can be solved logically. Guessing is never necessary. Figure it out!

Anyway, the game gives me a great kick when they reveal the picture. I've had it since the Euro release and the downloads are top notch. I recommend playing the old gameboy version for some extra giggles, but you won't be able to use your stylus.

Same thing for me, I got this game just to try, but now I'm completely addicted

And with the downloaded puzzles, I think it will stay in my DS for a long time!

Well... not all puzzled can be solved logically..

hence 'try it out' trial and error

Figure it Out!

logical solutions up to end of Normal 4 now. Will give info if I've found some illogical puzzles.

I guess some free puzzles might fit the illogical category...

Still, if you encountered any bad puzzles, do inform us on what it is and we would try to find if there is a proper solution for it

I have been able to figure it out by logic so far, without ever using that new feature
I'm only on level 5 of free mode though.

I'm almost through level 10 of Normal Mode (which seems to be the last level), and all puzzles could be solved without guessing. Some are quite difficult, though.

I'm not fond of the later puzzles that you can't see the whole board on screen at once.
Try button mode for 5 minutes. Maybe you'll like it.
I did and forever stuck with button controls.

There is one puzzle that I'm stuck at that I can't solve..
Free Mode Level 4 Puzzle M.

I solved all the previous puzzles with logic, but can't figure this one out.

I have finished every mode, some of the free ones took me a couple of tries, sometimes you go by number logic, others by picture logic, and a teeny bit of luck mixed in, the extra level on free mode has some nintendo more goodnes for who gets there. Unfortunately there is no extra goodies for completing all the puzzles, only the extra level on free mode. Well it's a great game nonetheless, I was addicted to it until I finished everything, bathroom breaks were never too much, lolol.

so i'm a complete moron. I was hooked on this game for a while when the euro version came out and thought that free mode was just the normal mode without the error checking, so i never bothered to try it out, now i feel like an idiot, but the fact that i now have a week or so of more picross is perking me up.

I cannot understand this game! I mean I like Sudoku but this just flies by. Anyone have a good way to explain this game?

Just follow the in-game tutorial and pay attention. It explains it very well and is much more clear than a bunch of words on a forum. If you can't follow what they're saying, then this game is not the kind of game you want to be playing. I'd suggest Horsez instead, or the sequel if you're feeling adventurous.

I agree with Glacius0. Follow the tutorial. Even if it takes you a few tries, it is totally worth it.

Having said that...WOW indeed! This game is amazingly addictive. I just started playing it about an hour ago, but I can tell I'll be playing it for a while.

By the way, is there a difference between the European and American versions?
