Will do. Have an OLED to do as well. Glad I was able to get all this knowledge from a V1 and didn’t have to do all the trial and error on an OLED lol

So now my question is is why won’t the single mosfet work? When I’m theory it should only take one right?
well some say its works some say it doesnt i only experienced it working on unpatched v1s.
i think it has something to do with the power given to the caps during glitches but i havent really asked why and why not i just install 2 and be done with it since they dont cost much, and its not more work so i dont really care Xd

need to ask rehius or someone for a better explanation Xd

I see this black adapter being shown in the guide

The video linked though shows the orange adapter being used (trimmed however)

Is it ok to use the trimmed orange one as well or I should scrap it and get the black ones only?

The only reason the black ones are in the guide are as a reference to what is being spoken about. Any functioning Dat0 adapter will work. Several people here would urge you to skip the Dat0 adapter and just do a reball (I'm looking at you @Dee87 and @LogicalMadness)

well Thats the only way to get a issue free and a real connection Xd

But what do i Know Xd

i mean how many people are having issues here with those adapters Xd

Do you realize how many more dead switches there would be if unsklilled people were all attempting reballs?!
thats why u try it on dead eemc or cheap emmcs , prob not more then with those cheap dat0 adapter.

although ANYONE who does this install and are unskilled they shouldnt be working on switches as there first project any ways Xd

u do see howmany dead switches there are because of unskilled people diy.
everyone who is unskilled and is attempting to try shouldnt go on with the minset that the switch is destroyed after there install Xd

You need an ability to jumper with cable between these point to fix. You know its fixed when you can boot normally.
Or maybe better, just send it to professional for repair.

First .. you can do this :
Take pictures,, every solder point & Mosfet & Pico.. more pics is better.
Take video on the LED blink .
Post that all in here.
Be patient for replies.

I broke the pad off the CPU, where the cap used to be. I assume there's no alternate soldering point for this, but i'm still asking?

If Switch is still booting just use the other cap. It works with just one of them
it's booting into OFW and runs games, but i broke off the pad that's used for the mosfet. i went with a single mosfet install and that cap needed to be removed, cause otherwise it's shorted

Does it glitch now?
nope the modchip never worked for me. i either got the mosfet error or the CMD error i believe. i can only run original nintendos firmware. i'm wondering if i did a dual mosfet install would it work maybe? btw i tried two different mosfets, Waveshare and Seeed chips and thats how i broke of this pad eventually

It should work. Maybe there is a problem with one of the solder points. Do you have pictures? What type of switch is it?
I would start from begining, pico with firmware 2.74, single mosfet, and SDA/SCL lines soldered as well. Then we see where that takes us...
