and I haven't had a single switch not glitch for me with single mosfet to single cap and no sda/scl. I would try using a thicker wire for the mosfet

What size wire are you using? I bought 0.2 thinking that would be more than enough and it still didn’t glitch.

I haven’t done single mosfet to SINGLE cap though. Always done double cap. Will try single when I get home.

0.2 is ménough i do all installs with 0.2mm

if its not glitching u are doing something else wrong

maybe defektive mosfet? it happens sometimes

bad soldering

what Led code are u getting ?

I purchased 100 MOSFETs from Digikey. Every single time I get the = =*code even when I did the two MOSFET. But when I did the two MOSFET, it was with the 0.1 wire. Can you confirm that these are the correct mosfet? This is what I ordered

yes these are the correct mosfet

Well idk why it won’t glitch for me. I’ve not had a single switch glitch for me on the first try without having to use the SDA/SCL lines. Added a photo of my single mosfet install.
Try grounding to the shield. I've always done single mosfet installs without issues but ground to the shield as it's easier. Will try single cap next for my curiosity.

Ok well I will try a single cap when I get home. If it doesn’t do it then I have no idea what I’m doing wrong. Could you please post a pic of one of yours?

Thank you. Will try everyone suggestions when I get home.

Yes, I use clear UV resin, and it is non-conductive, but that doesn't mean EVERY UV resin is non-conductive.

Here is the one I use, and I use a AAA-battery-powered UV laser pen to cure it.

Code:

Thanks for that! I think the resin I got is similar, I will double check that it's non conductive and I indeed just have a UV flashlight to use on it, excellent, thanks again!

I want to run this by everyone before I plug it in. It’s my first time doing a single cap and grounding to the shield. Is there anything I should change? I know it looks messy, but I promise nothing is grounded, and it'll get all cleaned up before going back together. ill move the ground to the top of the shield as well

looks fine.
i did a test on my oled switch wich has a issue booting hekate but glitches to no sd fine.
Picofly has .72 firmware i think
My first attempt one mosfet with one wire to 2 caps answer is ==*
Second attempt one mosfet with 2 wires to to caps answer is ==*
Before i had 2 Mosfets 2 wires one to each cap glitches fine
im gonna install the setup i had befor and see if it glitches fine now

all done with 0.2mm wire

ok im going to plug it in now. I have always used the latest firmware for the Pico. Will switch it up if this doesn't work.

if it doesnt work use 2 mosfets then it should work without a issue
it still didnt work. going to go with the two mosfets and will report back. Its amlost like it didnt even try to glitch before throwing the error code.

yah thats what i thought do a double mosfet like in the diagramms i bet its gonne work

i did try onemosfet at the first time i installed a pico but was having the same issue .

thats why i ony install with 2 mosfets

need help
i get blue light the yellow yellow blink
2 more times yellows happens
what could be problem ??
Oled
i checked D0 4 times
i get 575 with ohm meter

I bet with u the purple screen came because u had issue with the cmd resistor when u soldered to it u prob discinnected it from the bord when u installed the pico.
When u installed the hwfly u got the connection back on the cmd resistor while adding a solder. And thats why it worked with the hwfly.

There is no issue with hard or firmware , all this is a installer issue and nothing else.
My main pico has skynix and I also installed on every other available oled emmc and never had an issue.

All these install issue are coming from the installers and nothing else

Upload a close up picture so we can see if its possible to fix or not

and you lost money my friend...
because if you've read what i wrote i've also the same issue with the new HwFly Rp2040 (so there can't be issue with soldering)

but to give to you final proof :
- rp2040 Purple screen
- i mount HWFLY (problem fixed)
- i install another FRESH RP2040 (with new set of resitor) : Purple screen
- i re-mounth HWFLY (problem fixed)

so if we want to "hide" the problem... for me it's ok... but it's unfair to say that picofly firmware don't have problem...
just i want to make anyone aware that "can happen" this problem

i've install at today something like 200 mods chip... (on 40 picofly install) only with 2 picofly i've this problem... but happen... and there is no "apparently" reason so far... i'm more than happy to provide any further information

like i said i installed pico on all variants of the oled (eemc wise) and never had an issue with it i did have a purple screen once and it was the cmd resistor . ( im up to 35 Picoflys as of today)

so i cannot understand other then its rather a installer issue then a Picofly issue since i had all Models and never had any issue with the installation.

200 mods chip in one day? Wow.
na i think he meant all together (as of today) so his last count was today B-)

so i did have time again to add the second mosfet and what should i say i glitches straight ahead not even 2 sec....

I'm still doing mine. I have a terrible time with the double MOSFET. Literally chasing them around the blue mat. lol. But I believe I got it now. just waiting for the uv mask to cure.
