I had a HWFly Core installed in my Animal Crossing switch and after troubleshooting I found it kept corrupting BOOT0 when writing the payload to the eMMC

I pulled the Core out and replaced it with a PicoFly and can reboot to OFW after creating a clean BOOT0

I know there are consoles where v2.5 works, and 2.6+ does not, so you can try different firmwares (2.5, 2.61, 2.64)
Thanks for your help and contribution. I was getting a purple light because the CPU caps were not soldered properly. I overlooked it because the flex cable's wire was giving me 0.6v. I resoldered the caps and made sure they are giving 20 ohms. Boom. Worked.

Thanks again.

Hi All. I'd like to tackle a new challenge with Picofly. My local vendor does not sell rp2040 as a whole board, but only the chip. How hard would you say it is to DIY this into a Picofly?

Pretty smooth. What's the AWG or mm?

There are several members currently in the process of beta testing some hardware boards that rely on soldering their own RP2040 onto the board. The McFly is going to be open-sourced once the 4 beta testers receive their boards and confirm working installs. At that point, you could use the files provided to build your own board or pay an online service to do it for you.

@rehius I tried picofly but I am getting pink after blue and OFW. Double checked CLK and CMD. The only point that I am not sure is cpu mosfet, but in this case light should be cyan.
That's what I thought too. I spent 2 days trying to figure out what the pink/purple color was for. Turns out my CPU caps were not soldered properly into the Flex cable. Make sure the caps are giving 11-20ohms.

The tin on those factory cap seems like having a higher melt point.

At first i have problem when using my normal temperature, then i increase my station to 350 degrees C, then its quite good, but not good enough. I dont dare to increase it to 400degrees, afraid that it could destroy the cap.
I never expose factory boards to heat without throwing a bit of low-melt-solder. This stuff is magic.

Hello, i have issue and this is great community. I have v2, and LED flashes for glitching and then cyan - console boots to ofw. However, i tried to press reset button and then glitch worked with green led. Anyone could help me out? I tried second mofset as someone suggested here, but with same result. Should I just join those two blue wires? Thanks
Try v2.65 firmware, we had a similar issue recently

Guys i've a question. today I get the cpu flat so I haven't installed the rp 2040 yet. But I had flashed the 2.5 firmware. If I want to update the firmware before installing it, just connect it to the pc with the boot button and load the new firmware version right?
