Hello. So I used this point for 3v3 in my V1, but I think I gave it so much heat, now my Switch won't boot. I tried the other 3v3 point on the same side as RST, but again no luck.

What do you guys think?

I can see a solder blob on the bottom of the capacitor, if you soldered it here, this is the wrong side of the capacitor and you shorted your rp2040
If you had soldered it well try to remove everything and try to boot
Check if your capacitor is shorted

Hello. That bottom cap was painful, but I soldered to the top of the lower one like the guide. I removed my rp2040 and all wires but the switch still won't boot. I tried the same rp2040 on another V2 Switch and it did work. What do you think happened here? When I used my multimeter the blob you were talking about was giving a beep with the top of the lower cap.

It shouldn't be beeping, the trace is shorted for sure but you have to determine if it's because of the capacitor or something else that went wrong. If you are comfortable with micro soldering you can remove the capacitor and check if the short is still present on the motherboard

I desoldered the cap and checked it along with the trace. No continuity. Resoldered it and still won't boot.
Don't you just hate it when you mess up and don't even know why?

Would you tell me how do I check if the Switch is even getting power?

Hello.
Thank you both.
I've learned how to check caps on M9, BQIC, and P13. I'm 100% all caps are not shorted. I was eager to check the cap on P13 as the guy was saying that the M9 cap ( the one I think I burned) is usually shorted alongside P13's cap, but that was not the case. If all caps are "fine" What else could be the issue for not booting?

Cowboy, Thank you, but I bought this Switch to learn to troubleshoot. I don't intend to play with nor sell it. I'm just enjoying this new hobby of modding electronics. I'm actually into health care and far away from this field, but the COVID era made me look for new passions. I would rather pay someone to teach me what's wrong with it rather than repair it. I appreciate your inputs and Dee too of course.

Hello! Currently having this issue:

Pkg1 decryption failed!
BEK is missing!
Failed to launch HOS!

Is this an issue with the chip installation or sd files? How do I fix it?
