When converting 3DS to CIA you can remove the region requirement, but the reason you're not finding anything about that in this thread isn't because of the speed of the thread but because that's not relevant to pasta and this a pasta thread, people please keep the spam to a minimum, if you do a quick search you will find other topics that have what you need, if it's not relevant to pasta please don't post it here.

You asked "What have I missed since then?" and got exactly the answer to that question As for what's coming, I don't think anyone's announced anything that hasn't already been speculated (emuNAND, etc.)

I'd still enjoy if someone updated me on the MSET situation for 2DS. I remember the KARL team had said they found a way to make MSET work on higher firmwares. From what I've been seeing here, it seems as if people are manually updating and leaving out the MSET patching of the OFW. I'm unsure if that is what they meant, of if it is something that will also be available to other handhelds in later dates of this project.

Just as a reference, I have a 2DS with OFW 8.1.

I'm pretty sure you have to downgrade, upgrade with sysUpdater, and take out a few files.

Don't worry the GW team still 'read' the forums from time to time, not as much as when just after a new release to look for bug reports, but they do go thru all the posts on semi regular basis.

There is much demand for porting the 'game exploits' to the older systems, and that is one thing in the works but no ETA, as there is more important tasks at hand, like looking at recent 'holes' found in v9.7 and making other things more stable and there is still the best end goal ever to remove the need of having any 'game cart' to launch the exploit, but that is long long way off.

Use FBI to delete the MSET then install the cia of 4.x version.

Here is to hoping a developer on the outside finds them first. Then again, with the immense division of the community currently, I am unsure if it would even be shared if found.
