I had problem with my FlashCard, so I tried the paper trick.
It worked well for a while, but sadly a little of the paper ripped, and it went under my DSi XL... so now the paper is stuck, and I can't get it out.

I'm not sure where it went, it's hard to see, maybe under the bottom chips (or dunno what are these).
Is there any tips how I could take out this little paper safely? I hope it can be done somehow...

Thanks for any help and advices !

I have identified where the paper is and take a shot. Quality is little bad, but I've marked it on the picture. I think it can be seen easily!

I can't seem to get it out no matter what I try :( I hope someone has a good idea!

I can see where it is, I just can't judge from the picture how long the piece of paper is. I'd see about taking a long handled flathead jewelers screwdriver (Dollar Tree stores near me sell cheap-o kits (obviously for a dollar) so check there if you don't have any) and see if you can wiggle the paper to the side (towards the bottom of the picture you posted) away from the pins, and then up towards you, all with the screwdriver, paying extreme mind to the pins.

If not that (or maybe even instead of), a long pair of tweezers. Harbor Freight sells a pretty cheap kit with a few different types. A soldering heatsink (from radioshack) may work too, they're kinda like reverse tweezers (they open when you press them, close when you let go), however they might not keep enough tension/grip on the paper.

You could also try a can of compressed air (with the nozzle) at the opposite end of the slot of where the paper is.

Try grabbing it with a small pair of tweezers, move the paper to one side and twirl it like spaghetti/noodles.
Best idea.

Does your dsi still work normally? If it does, let the paper stay there, you can do worse if you damage the contacts your ds
Next best idea and probably safest(?) Can any harm be done if he puts a game in there with the pins like that? If no harm, then I guess best idea.

Absolutely. If he puts a game cartridge in and it catches the paper just the right way, it could squish up and fold in a way that could push the pins, possibly to the point of bending them or having them get stuck on the cart and bending from that.

Will it happen? Maybe, maybe not. It doesn't look like a terribly large piece, so he'd probably be safe.
Can it happen? Yes, it definitely can.

Thanks for your answers, I have found a thin screwdriver, and I could get out the paper from the side, so I didn't have to touch the the pins!
My DSi accept normal cards now, like always, and there isn't any problem, so I hope I didn't cause any kind of damage in the process:)
I think I won't use my R4 card with the paper trick any more, and buy a new one instead, it's better than risking the console itself!

Have to disagree -- that's probably the worst idea. By moving the paper to the side, you very well could dislodge or even bend the pins inside. This is why instead of the paper trick, I would recommend using something like one of those smart-phone face protectors (thin, yet thicker than paper, clear plastic that does not easily break). So instead of paper, cut up a piece to the appropriate size and you will never have issues like this.
