So I own both the original Switch and a Switch Lite and was wondering if there was anything I needed to do before I start to use my new Lite.

I have read that you would need to make your Lite the primary Switch etc. from tutorials, but that seems to be just for digital copies of games. Basically I get physical copies of mine except for using the NES/SNES in the Nintendo account, and certain others like visual novels from the e-shop. Anyways, is using the two switches less difficult for physical copies? I have a US and Japanese Nintendo account on my original Switch. It would be nice to just choose a Switch for a particular game and play. Especially for the games with motion-controls and rumble. Will I have to go through system transfer irregardless? Any information or help on this will be appreciated. Thank you.

If you want your saves on the lite, you'll have to transfer saves over, obviously.

I have even heard of people transferring saves to theri lite, when going somewhere, and sending em back to the "home" switch when back home for TV-gaming.
Condition is that both Switches are connected with your NintendoID.

It really depends on what you want to do with your Switches.

I really wish Nintendo came up with a better way to sync and manage saves across two Switches.
