This is a nice sigh of relief for anyone else who hates logging into any online game just to be greeted by people saying how they fornicated your overweight mother orally last night.

Read the article, they are refering to people like the "CoDFags" as they are known who needlessly strongly hurl insults at other random people, "aggressive" has nothing to do with actual gameplay in this case.

Nope. Not defending anyone. Tryhard starts losing, tryhard gets pissed, tryhard either does much worse, or they start trying cheap as hell tactics to pick up the slack, or they go balls out just trying to mow everyone down rambo style.

im somewhere in the middle of it all. I charge in, button mash, certainly not the most strategic player . but i don't get to the point of insulting or rage quitting. and sometimes i lose repeatedly, like i often do against this one person, other times im a complete beast.
so i believe its just a matter of maturity more than anything.

To be fair, most players I've encountered don't have problems with newbs/newbies (people who don't play well because they are new to the game and don't know better). The anger (excessive as it may be) is really only directed towards noobs (people who don't play well but aren't new to it and should know better).
