Hi,
I just purchased "New Super Mario Bros" And I want to be able to copy my save from my R4 over to the original game card. Is there any possible way of doing this? Yes, I know I stole the game, but I realized it was worth actually buying. Any help with this would be awesome. Thanks!

I would like to know the opposite...is there a way to get the save from original bought game to my r4?

Thanks

Rick

You have two options, both of which require Wifi. The first is SavSender, and you can find guides to it at the following links:
http://www.scdev.org/forum/index.php?topic=9915.0 (my original guide)
http://www.teamcyclops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1275 (modified version, might be easier to follow)

Your second option is a tool by Rudolph, and I believe the latest Wifi version is at http://blog.so-net.ne.jp/Rudolph/2007-08-16
It can also backup actual games as well. A guide is at http://www.monroeworld.com/ds/hacking/backup/ though I don't know how good it is.

That would work, but I want to take my 512 kb save from my R4 and put it on the original game card. That save size is 64kb. Is there some kind of converter that could be used?

If the actual save file is only 64 kb, then from 64-512 kb is just empty data. use a hex editor to trim it off before sending.

Download and open a hex editor. Open the file. Go to offset 0x10000 (which is hex for 65536 bytes) and chop off all the empty data past that point.

I personally use XVI32 but there are many other good hex editors like Hex Workshop.
