What's a safe place from which I can order a card for my ds lite. Ideally an Acekard 2 but so long as it worked and supported sdhc I'd be happy.

i have that one and it's the official r4i gold from r4ids.cn it ins't a clone and has the official wood kernel. it works perfectly!

it has an unofficial version of wood, and works great!

It's one of the best DS flashcarts out, second only to the DSTWO which costs many times more.
It will also work on the latest DSi/3DS firmware if you ever decide to upgrade.
AceKard was great back in the day (a lot of that was thanks to AKAIO) but has since been surpassed by the R4i Gold.
The R4i Gold even has RTS now
