Hello.
Our great @Dodain47 - Retro News Reporter and Hero of GBAtemp pointed me to the new Release from the
Open PS2 Loader:
https://gbatemp.net/threads/open-ps2-loader-version-1-0-0-release.580557/
Time to dust off the PlayStation 2 with HDD and for the Update.
And one of the first Features for me was the per Game Ingame Settings and the Cheat Feature.
Since today I have always used Codebreaker v9.....yes the "patched" Version....Arrrrrr.....
Today I have "learned" to use the ps2rd Cheat Engine.
First please, you should read through this excellent Manual, yes,it is a lot to read:
https://www.ps2-home.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=84#p84
If you like,in "short" Addition,a short "Help" how to make Cheats by yourself.
After you have read the Manual and downloaded the Omniconvert Tool,
please setup the
INPUT/Left Window for "Codebreaker -> v7+" and the
OUTPUT/Right Window for "Unencrypted -> Standard"
There are many Ways to get the correct Game ID,so I leave it to "Please read it on the Game Screen from OPL Loader".
Please go then to the GameHacking.org Website and look under Sony - PlayStation 2 for your Game (note the correct Region please).
I always use still the Codebreaker v7+ Codes.
Please choose always the Decrypted Code(s) please and copy it to the LEFT Window in Omniconvert.
Click on CONVERT and you have your Code for the .cht File.
A little Side Note please - Master Codes should ALWAYS begin with 90xxxxxx.
I am pretty sure,in the Meantime, you know the correct
Format how to put the Cheatline(s) into the File, correct ?
Put it into the CHT Folder in your OPL Folder on your HDD or Memory Card via Network or USB Stick please.
Please check of the correct Name/ID otherwise you get an Error Message on the Game loading.
I have tried many Codes for "Resident Evil - Code Veronica X" and have to "report" not all Codes are working !
So,please be patient when you do this "Work" and have Fun with Code Making.
Good Luck, have again Fun with your PlayStation 2 and HDD Game Loading with this awesome new OPL Loader Version
Thank you for Reading.
