Hacking online with a backup game?

Is this a safe thing to do? or would this get a ban from nintendo.
i am asking because i was going to checkout the online stuff with my backup of rockband the beatles
but i don't want to take the risk until i get some advice.

Im pertty sure that u can go on mutiplayer online with a backup disc and u wont get banned.

I can confirm, online playing with a backup disc or via an USB loader works perfect. I've been playing Mario Kart online a lot without problems

cool, so what if i wanted to download new songs for rockband the beatles (when any become available) would that be ok with the backup? i guess it would also be the same for guitar hero 5.
