Hacking old haxchi install dosent work,is it supposed to be updated?

ive installed haxchi in its old version(on brain age game)and when i load it, it simply leads me to the wiiu menu.
why does that happen:must i install updated haxchi?

Why an old version? Take the latest version and install it.

it simply leads me to the wiiu menu.

It loads for example the homebrew launcher if you hold a button while you start the app.
