Gaming Okaeri Chibi Robo Happy Richie Osouji help!!!

I can't get past the minigame where you press l or r to shoot the gun....... How do you do it? I've tried every possible thing.

EDIT: NEVERMIND... I got it. It was one of those fricken minigames where you have to press the button before the other guy.
