Hi I am trying to buy a new micro sd and i found a micro sd that has good price but no brand of it like kingston or sandisk.
Is it ok to buy it?

i would personally steer clear from dodgy/questionable microSD cards.

Having used quite a few, I've found cheap ones to corrupt or mysteriously (and permanently) lose storage capacity. Even after formatting with the panasonic formatter and whatnot.

Also, the read/write speeds on the non-brand ones are usually pretty crappy.

It would be a hit-or-miss prospect at best. It could work fine, it could be total crap. Without a brand name to go by, you'll have no idea what its speed or class is until you buy it and test it. Personally, I wouldn't risk the money.

The unbranded class 4 I got worked fine. It was a 2 gig, and it worked with no problems. But, as the others have said, it's a guessing game. You could get one that works perfectly; you could get one that works like shit. The 2 gig card I got is now in my cell phone, as I got a 4 gig Kingston, but it still worked pretty good in my M3 Real.

try get a SD card with brand
my experience with brandless SD card was it can just die on you anytime they want!
is a risky thing to have

if you intend to get a new SD card, i hope the following would help

class 6 is the fastest
class 4 is the 2nd

just bare in mind each brand got a different read/write speed
some say kingston is fastest among all
personally i have been using adata, transcend, sandisk and kingston they all work well for me

That is a class 6...

Regardless, if you spent a few minutes on newegg you could find better cards that are guaranteed to work. Don't waste money on a "maybe".

Read some reviews posted from people that purchased the product. That's if the site has any. I personally would spend the extra buck to be on the safe side and purchase a name brand one.

it's class 6 and 4gb
the price is $9 which is good.

personally, I would try to get an 8gb, but that should work fine.

it probably has a brand of some sort... just not one the retailer thinks is worth mentioning. a lot of companies *coughsandiskcough* trade on just their name flogging mediocre products for ten times what they are worth

Maybe a silly question, but is there any reason a kingston 8gb class 4 Micro SD HC won't work with an M3DS Real and a Supercard DSOnei? I'm just about to order so I figured I might as well ask here rather than waste a new topic on it.
