Why did you order a device made for the DS lite?
You should have looked up more information on it before buying... It even says Lite in the name! D:

eh... you know that the GBA slot isnt the same size in the original DS and in the DS Lite...?
Lites GBA slot is a bit smaller then the original DS:s so things that fits exactly in the Lite GBA slot doesnt fit in the fat DS slot...

Dont tell me you own a DS and have bought a G6 lite alrdy...?

Do you put diesel in your unleaded car too? Buy clothing two sizes too small on purpose?
Why would u buy a lite model for a phat ds then?

btw,
[StingX2] can some respond to my topic? http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=36663

Okay, um.... i'll reply..
Just buy a ds lite...

or nag g6 team about an adapter or other solution, or possible refund/exchange for proper model.

I thought that's what the full GBA sized cover (shell) was for. Didn't you get one of them with it that you can swap the guts into?

There should be a full-GBA-sized case in the box, which will make it fit in a DS or GBA.

Yes, the G6 Lite comes with a standard size GBA case. Just open the Lite case that all the things are in, and transfer it to the GBA size case. It's quite straightforward...I think...I haven't tried it because I have a DS Lite.

Yes the full size gba case is included....afterwards it just looks like a g6 3rd gen...do even half the people that posted in this thread own a g6 lite or are just posting for no reason?

I have a g6lite and I was actually thinking. If you want to permanantly get it into your phatty.just shave off the sides and stuff, get a stick and force it into the ds!

Wow, 75% of these people in this thead are dumbasses for either 2 reasons:

1 - They don't own a G6 lite, and are responding with dumbass info
2 - They do own a G6 lite, and are responding with dumbass info

The G6 lite works on the regular DS and the DS lite. It comes with 3 colored DS Lite covers, and 1 regular DS cover.

Yeah indeed,
People like KeYbLaDeXaLcHeMiSt posting completely stupid replies...I mean what's the poor OP supposed to think?? This forum is populated by 12 year olds?

I mean, it's very possible the original poster either did not receive the large GBA cart, or he did not know what it is for, after all the G6L has *sparse* documentation whatsoever, besides some badly translated commands for game menus and formatting.

At least he seems to know now that you can unscrew the cart screw and carefully swap PCB's...

Meant to say:

At least he seems to know now that you can unscrew the cart screw and carefully swap the PCB into the new case. (not swap PCB's).
Only thing to be careful of is not to overtighten the screw.

And if the original screw does not come out (something stripped--in my case it was the screw, not the case), like, if it spins around forever without coming out, you can simply dab a tiny bit of super glue onto the mini phillips head, then stick the screwdriver in and hold it in place for a few minutes (make sure the super glue doesn't get on the SIDES of the screwdriver or touch the G6 plastic) and then the screw will come right out.

(if you do have a stripped screw, unscrewing another screw from a different case and swapping screws will prove if the screw or plastic was stripped).
