Ive tried to run mame on retroarch but its just throwing me off VFS every time I boot something. Retrix doesnt do this so no idea what im doing wrong

i have installed 1.8.8 but when I load some cores (.i.e PPSSPP or PSX) and try check the core information or run a game ==> i get an error that path is incorrect (I never had this issue before this version) and after exits the retroarch. Pls check the video below i have uploaded to my G-Drive and made the link public,

Is it something to do with v1.8.8?

Guys, I installed the 1.8.8 but now Mario 64 is not loading anymore. Help the noob here. How do I downgrade to 1.8.7 without lost all the configs?

thanks @dominater01 , was running as app mode changed it back game mode.

Is there anyway to keep the confi while upgrading? Each time an upgrade happens, it wipes out some part of the config.

you'd have to backup the .cfg file before upgrading which you can find with the myfilesexplorer app

Im having problems with getting file explorer to find the retroarch folder. If its in dev mode it refuses to install.

you can tell which folder is this .cfg to use in the version closest to the retrofile

Hello my friend. I have one Xbox One X. No better performance with this file? Maybe there is a config to enable the gamemode.
One thing that I can't understand in Xbox Retroarch is when you are playing, for example, Gamecube games if you change the resolution for 1x or 2x or 3x you have the same fps. No change. So there is no reason to use lower resolutions to get more fps.

I'm having some issues with Beetle Saturn. Most of the games like Bomberman and DF2 are slow and image/sound is stuttering. Is it like the normal performance level on 1.8.8?

Same question regarding Flycast, as it's less sluggish than Beetle but still slow. Probably some settings to adapt here (I'm on the 1st model XB1)

beetle saturn is gonna be slow and no theres no fix for it

dreamcast can get alittle boost in speed

Quick one mate,
is there any reason files are stuck and can't be deleted? For example i have files(roms and states generated by retro itself) which are stuck in either of local state root or download folder and refuse to be deleted.
Considering my file explorer is patched , is there anyway to manually delete these roms or files? or i have to remove the app and re-install it again?
