Yeah, I think given how bad the description is at least for some games, in this case the better read speeds are most advantageous. Wii U save files are not that large for most games at all, which is one write operation you would experience during the game. The one time transfer for the game is not that bad.

True. Though, some of the larger games with a ton of files seem to take FOREVER.

Also, just so anyone who doesn't understand know, 32KB and 64KB align makes every file increase its size to the end of the aignment.

So if you have a file of 68KB, it will be 128KB, 120KB file will be 192KB.

The same applies to 32KB alignment, but by integers of 32 instead of 64.

Pretty sure that's how it works. It's what I've always assumed anyways since I dont care much about space myself.

    Yeah.
Or 1-63KiB file will be effectively 64KiB too. But this is also what increases the read speed in this. As I remember Dios Mios used to recommend 64KB alignment for the Lite version but we stopped using that I guess.

Overall I think this is a good tip for people seeking out for something to alleviate the painful load times that is reported for quite few games in the compatibility sheet.

I think these reports should be removed from the sheet, or be notified in some other way, as it clearly is dependent on memory card and alignment people use; European Project Zero has report for 2min load times while other guy testing the US version reports 5min load times, while I myself made it pretty much unnoticeable quite simply.

Thanks for figuring out what the error code was, I guess. Missing/corrupt files? I wonder if theres false positives in the list? I think if loadiine mii maker can't load the file (loader issues) it errors the same as not finding it (corrupt data)? if it helps the folder is 243,097,826 bytes shows 231MB, rpx same as list, 150 files.

So, did Family Tennis SP work with Mii Maker mode or no? I'm confused. You said you would test, said it worked, then said thanks for finding the error code? So I am confused. Does it error at some point? I may have to get it myself and test I guess.

I thought by error code you were getting it yourself, which would likely mean corrupt files, and would be some insight into that error. Sorry. It does indeed work - no error codes at all.

I wanted to ask if any one knows of what firmware "Rodea The Sky Soldier" for Wii U has.

I did some testing on this, formatted 64kb cluster size, and tested load times on super Mario 3d world. 64kb made that game load even slower, almost literally twice as long as 32kb. Exact same card, 128gb class 10 uhs1.

My best educated guess would say 64kb cluster is worse than 32kb for games with tons of small files to load, but much better for games that don't have so many small files? Cause each file would have to read the full 64kb it's allocated too in the card

I still want to do more testing on this with more games but it seems this is great for some and not great for others.

both USA and EUR have the same rpx checksum, so it's on the same line in the compatibility list.

The EUR version is released by a group.
The USA version is not released, but you could use the eshop update + missing files from EUR. that's why it was separated, to add this information.

But you can download the update from eshop, and see that both latest version (EUR v16 and USA v64) share the same files size/checksum, it means this is the exact same release for both region. only the xml files are different (for the TitleID).
a lot of games are developed with worldwide in mind from the start, there's no different version per region.

Edit: I had sleep this day. Should not be as slow. Thanks. Lol

Using 64KB allocation size cut my initial loading time on Project Zero from 53 seconds to 30 seconds.
    Thanks. B-)

I tested 3d world, check a couple posts up. Basically it made loading times twice as long for 3d world for me.

It still at least following ONE report; depends on game. But it does. The trade is that files take more space (Size on Disk for Project Zero was twenty megs bigger) but it indeed meant faster loading times for some of these games, and I would hope the reports about slowly loading games get revamped a little since it changes from person to person and depends on their MicroSD quality and format type, so there at least should be indication what SDcard you used and what allocation with the report of slow loading.

Someone said 3D world is slower; but project zero is faster. I dunno should I test myself I have 3D world on Disc will take a long time to dump it and test. Will test some scene releases around, New Luigi U and so on.
Shovel Knight is fine at least for me.

Hmm, quick question, how many file has project zero ? Because basically, iirc, low allocation size is better for a big amount of file and vice-versa. That can explain why some game load faster and others load slower.
