well actually, there are quite a few of the projects here being worked on, if you'd take the time to actually read and look around the forum. please stop filling the request thread with useless crap like this. its for /requests/ not complaints. go elsewhere if you want to bitch.

What's the point of this thread? All people do is make requests, and then they get buried? Have any of the requests posted here even been fulfilled? It doesn't seem so.

It's been said many times before, but I'll say it again. People will only work on games that interest them and that they have the required skills and resources to work on. Why would someone spend thousands of hours working voluntarily on a game that does not interest them in the slightest? And even then, interest is not enough to make a translation project work. Some games use complex file formats, compression methods, etc. that the person interested may not have the skills to work with. There are a whole bunch of factors to account for.

With all of that said, I personally do look at requests occasionally. Does that mean I'm going to start doing projects for every person that wants this or that game translated? No.

Hello, I'm french, sorry for the bad english ^^ I visit GBAtemp since a few months, but I registered only today

You might want to use the format for requests, located in the first post of this thread.

I was just implying that the last several pages have been nothing but requests, and it seems as though it's been a while since anything's actually happened.

That is because people are working on things already. Translations don't happen in a single day, not unless you want some piece of crap google-translate churned out filth. (Yes I feel that strongly about google translate LOL)

Try and have a little patience for these things, and if you cant, then maybe you should consider learning how to do it yourself. Bitching and moaning about it isn't going to make people want to translate more; in fact if anything, I would say it probably makes them less inclined to do anything, since it feels like you are just working for the sake of a bunch of whining, lazy people.

While I do agree that Google Translator definitely needs some improvement, would it be so bad to use it and then edit the result you get? As in, you can just make the translation feel more natural or localized.

Just a random thought.

Nope. You're better off just creating your own dialogue completely unrelated to the original and putting it in there.

Sorry, I was making good progress with the translation, but due to family issues I have been forced into discontinuation. I will not be able to release what I have translated either, sorry.

Trust me, I'm pissed too. *deleted hate*

True. Even if you change the Google Translated pages so they become proper English sentences, you still won't have a dialogue that makes sense.

Game name
Estpolis: The Lands Cursed by the Gods

Release date
02/25/10

Game info
It's lufia 2 from the SNES remade. As there has been no announcments of it getting released in EU/VS, I doubt there will. They (Square Enix) might think the fanbase for the old lufia game is dead. It has a lot of the old soundtracks redone, and besides the gameplay being different, the story seems the same. For me personally this game.. just hearing the soundtrack again, brings shivers down my spine from joy.

My constant repeating on how awesome you are when you've translated this. Perhaps a donation of 10/20 euro's, as I really would love to play this game.
