update: It has been rumoured that Okamiden will be released for the 3DS later on in the year, depending on how well the DS version does.

It's a direct sequel to Okami. It only takes place 9 months later, and most of the characters from Okami are in this game too.

I read somwhere that if Okamiden sells well, a HD console port could be in the cards. For that reason alone, I will buy Okamiden on ds.

It was the Japan version, not the English version.

I played a bit of Okami on my friends Wii, and it was really entertaining. Pretty excited to try this one out once it gets released.
