Oh, just use Tiramisu or Aroma for region free and download the game over NUSspli or WiiUDownloader instead of trying to pack it. You've been doing this the overcomplicated way.
I did but its something to do with coding. the only copy that runs on my wii u is a japanese copy. i saw others having the same issue in another thread

it starts compressing stuff, nothing else
So it doesn't apply rules? It doesn't generate FST and stuff? It doesn't generate hashes? It doesn't even encrypt? Sorry to say but what you tell does't make any sense and we can't help when you refuse to give us the full CLI output.

i mean, i dont really know what else to show you. I can send a video of what it does in a bit if that would be helpful

Still not sure why you defaulted to trying to pack a different version using NUSPacker when documented methods of changing the Japanese console's language to English exist.
the language isnt the issue, i dont care if my console language is in japanese, EU and NA copies literally dont boot up, so i figured i would just change the game language of a japanese copy

One more time: The whole CLI output.
I don't want to see a video, I want you to run the command until it completes, then copy&paste the whole text. Or was it a lie that you see the whole output cause your .bat file closes before it shows the error message we need to see? In that case run it from a .cmd window instead of double clicking the .bat file.

Now please, please stop overcomplicating things and just show that god damn CLI output. Again: We can't help you when you refuse to show us that.

i literally dont know what to tell you, when the entire output finishes it closes the window, i dont know why you are getting so heated over it

And this skips the error message. So run it from a cmd window or change your bat file to not close at the end.
ill do that in the morning. thank you
Post automatically merged:

I tried clicking and dragging the .bat file into a command prompt where it gave me the error that it couldnt access the NUSPacker.jar file. I am running the .bat file from the same folder as the NUSPacker file so i dont know why its giving me that error. i tried to edit the .bat file to pause before it automatically closes but i dont really know how to. Sorry for the lack of results but this is confusing me alot

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
