Here's a tip: Don't run a .bat file and run the actual .jar file so you get full cmd output.

Also, make sure you're referring to the usage guide.

How do I use it?

Setup

To use this, you'll a folder which contains a "code", "content" and "meta" folder. Make sure that the content folder is not empty.

Optional:
To save you some typing you can also create a text file "encryptKeyWith" which contains the common key as hexstring (32 characters). This will be used to encrypt the encryption key.

Pack files

To pack files, you can use these arguments:

-in ; is the dir where you have your decrypted data. Make this pointing to the root folder with the folder code, content and meta.
-out ; Where the installable package will be saves

(optional! will be parsed from app.xml if missing)
-tID ; titleId of this package. Will be saved in the TMD and provided as 00050000XXXXXXXX
-OSVersion ; target OS version
-appType ; app type
-skipXMLParsing ; disables the app.xml parsing

(optional! defaults values will be used if missing (or loaded from external file))
-encryptionKey ; the key that is used to encrypt the package
-encryptKeyWith ; the key that is used to encrypt the encryption key

In most cases the following command will be totally fine. (make sure to have a valid app.xml)

java -jar NUSPacker.jar -in "inputDir" -out "outputDir"

Without common key stored in file.

java -jar NUSPacker.jar -in "inputDir" -out "outputDir" -encryptKeyWith 12345678123456781234567812345678

and the GitHub page can be found here.

The thing is, my .bat file runs the .jar program and i can see what its doing in cmd. it just wont give me any results, it says its compressing every file aswell, but once im finished, its just a blank file

Indeed. Only other thing I can think of is the output directory has a space in it without quotes? I do not know if it would error about arguments if so.

I know that it says invalid, but another thread i read said that the filled in key with the 1337 repeating is fine and it should be working

Lets try something then. ZIP your Content, Common, and Meta folders and upload them here. Then I'll run it myself to see if the same thing happens. (If that's allowed anyways)

If so, then that means something's wrong with the files you're using.
Alright i can do that, though it will take a while for the zip to upload to my google drive

Before you actually try to send it I have to ask- What are you trying to pack? If it's something like a game, then you can't upload it here as that'd be considered Warez.
Oh, duh. Im trying to pack a copy of Mario 3D world because i made a bad call and bought a japanese wii u over a NA one. so im trying to make a copy that will still boot on my wii u, but with english text.

Oh, just use Tiramisu or Aroma for region free and download the game over NUSspli or WiiUDownloader instead of trying to pack it. You've been doing this the overcomplicated way.

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
