Maybe its because I have block firm patches from cakes on boot?

No, that's not a problem at all. It works fine for me on 10.7 SysNAND AuReiNAND, so I can't really tell you what's going on. I may get a build of cakes to try to test with that.

Ah, I wasn't aware Cakes had switched to 10.4 NATIVE_FIRM, thought it still used 10.2.

So cakes users are out of luck for using NTR or what? because some users with cakes are able to patch over NTR while others like my case can't.

It uses the official build and works on 10.7 just be sure you uninstall BootNTR before installing this one and again you do need the 10.2 firmware for n3ds and 10.6 for o3ds.

By uninstall, you mean just remove the old .bin and the installed cia right?
Also it seems to stem the same issue that it requires native 10.2 while cakes is using 10.4

Yes. But given that Cakes apparently uses 10.4 NATIVE_FIRM it won't work unless you get an old firmware.bin and firmkey.bin (and maybe an old cetk? I'm not sure how cakes works )

Mine works on 10.7 sysnand too (source, me and my 10.7 a9lh sysnand n3ds) but you still need 10.2 native firm no matter which NTR version you use. I don't know how to add a new kversion to it and cell9 isn't going to do it anytime soon.

10.4 NATIVE FIRM IS THE PROBLEM regardless of NTR version or CFW used. period.

These people probably have 10.2 FIRM left over from an older version, or purposely used 10.2 FIRM to keep NTR-CFW compatibility, of course there's nothing stopping you from doing that.

So, how do you go back to 10.2 native firm without breaking anything? do you lose anything from going 10.4 to 10.2?

install BootNTR cia then run it

Make sure ntr.dat is on SDcard root

Are you sure you are not talking about ntr.bin? Or is ntr.dat only for cakes cfw?

Anyone know where to get cheat plg files for Boot NTR? Does someone have like a pack full of cheats for several games somewhere? Once I figure this out, I'll post it somewhere.
